Get involved
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the life of St Mary's and especially supporting our work with the local community.
If you have a passion or skill that you want to use to benefit and contribute to the well-being of others then we want to know about it! There are plenty of volunteering opportunities at St Mary's but at the heart of them all lies a desire to serve others and be present. Whether it's cooking in the cafe, journeying alongside parents and carers at our new toddler group, being a welcomer and guide to the space of the building, being present at one of our support groups, taking time to sit and have a cup of tea with a stranger, mending broken things, cleaning or giving financially - our desire is to be a nourishing community for all where person knows they have value and matter.
We follow the Church of England safer recruitment guidelines on the recruitment of volunteers. All volunteers require a satisfactory reference and some roles will require a DBS check. This is because good safeguarding runs through all that we do to enable all to flourish.
